Resumo: This work intends to investigate the social identity, especially at the ethnic-racial level, through messages conveyed to children in social vulnerability situations by SCFV professionals during the socialization provided by this Brazilian service of coexistence and strengthening of bonds. Identity consists of a process that lasts as long as the individual's life and when it comes to the social identity, we deal with levels, feelings and valuations that identify or misidentify us with other individuals and their respective groups. Social vulnerability refers to a convergence of suppressions in full access to basic rights that undermines identity, minimizing opportunities and emptying the feeling of belonging to groups. It is greatly aggravated when related to children, due to their stages of development. It is expected that socialization, as referring to a guiding process of adaptation and integration with other individuals and their social behaviors, may positively affect the strengthening of this identity. The structure of this work is organized into four chapters, the first being the theoretical framework about identity at the social level; the second chapter approaches the ethnic-racial identity; the third chapter is a description of what the SCFV is, its historical path, its operationalization and the fourth chapter corresponds to an empirical study that analyzes the perceptions of professionals about the social identity of children throughout the socialization processes in that service. The instrument used for it consists of a self-administered questionnaire and the data obtained was analyzed by means of the statistical softwares IBM SPSS Statistics 20 and IRAMUTEQ (R Interface pour les Analyses Multidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionnaires).
