Resumo: | Statistics has a relevant role in a society that lives in the era of knowledge and technological advancement. Its teaching aims to train individuals who can make more reliable decisions and contribute to scientific and professional training in various areas of knowledge. This study aims to propose, from the literature, objective behaviors that should be part of the discipline of Statistics for Psychology undergraduates. The Programming of Conditions for the Development of Behaviors (PCDC) is a technology that presents an alternative for the identification and characterization of these behaviors, based on the principles of Behavior Analysis. Therefore, a work was selected that contained descriptions that referred to behaviors that the psychologist should learn in relation to Statistics. From this, possible components of constituent behaviors of the general classes were identified, derived and registered with the aid of a registration protocol. Then, the language used to name the behaviors was evaluated in order to identify grammatical problems and propose a new appropriate language, if necessary. After these steps, 244 classes of objective-behavior were proposed, organized into six general classes: 1) To characterize the purpose of Statistics in the construction of scientific knowledge; (2) Define basic statistical concepts for research planning; (3) Define basic statistical concepts to model reality from survey data; (4) Modeling reality from statistical resources and survey data; (5) Evaluate limitations, uses and consequences of statistical models; (6) Answer scientific questions with the help of Statistics. The proposition of classes of behavior increases the probability of their development in formal teaching contexts. Proposing objective behaviors is one of the tasks expected of the teacher. The more these proposals are described in a precise, clear and complete way, the more they can help the teacher to plan and execute teaching conditions aimed at developing behaviors that allow the learner to establish more effective relationships with the environment in which they live. |
