This research aims to analyze the socio-spatial and economic dynamics of the Sucuriju settlement project and its agrarian impact in the city of Rorainópolis-RR. The methodology is based on descriptive and explanatory bibliographic and documentary research under a qualitative approach. As for the methodological procedures to achieve the results, the study used field research and on-site observation to obtain interviews and oral reports. As a result, the research highlights that the lack of public policies prevents men from settling in the countryside. INCRA only settled the farmers, but did not give them the necessary assistance, whether federal, state or even municipal. Settlers live abandoned by the government, but even so, those who resist are living on their lots and producing, albeit with difficulty. Approaching another angle of this issue, the research confirms its raised hypothesis, that the Sucuriju settlement, in the economic aspect, does not totally depend on Rorainópolis-RR, since the settlers can sell their products with other commercial centers, such as, for example, Boa Vista, or even the capital of Amazonas, Manaus. However, there is a lack of incentives from the public authorities in the three spheres.
