Corpo saudável, risco e bioperformance: uma cartografia dos discursos no território da educação física

Resumo: | With the advent of (bio) technological advances, epidemiological calculation, information, expertise and the range of resources for manufacturing the body, true utopias have been / are built in recent decades around a corporate form of health, which has been unfolding up and aggregating speeches and practices: the healthy body. It is in this scenario that this research aimed to investigate the healthy body discourse formulated in the field of physical education, in order to understand how it constituted a category taken as a social value and what the implication of creating such a category for the political insertion of physical education as disciplinary field and for the life of the subjects. The research path follows the assumptions of cartography, which constitutes rhizomatic methodological guidance and is divided into two moments: a trail of genealogical inspiration and a trail traveled in the field work. The fieldwork lasted 18 months (2016-2017) and was carried out in two gyms in the great João Pessoa (PB), including teachers and students as interlocutors. The inspiration for the analysis of material from fieldwork is Foulcault's discourse analysis. An object of interest in many fields (especially biomedicine and physical education), the healthy body - device - is the result of a confluence of knowledge, powers and truths. Its contemporary form was influenced by the restructuring of the field of physical education in the twentieth century, as well as giving this symbolic capital and legitimacy, as biomedical knowledge was managed within the countryside. Concomitantly, the epidemiological rationality, in the wake of the fight against health risks, enabled the coproduction of the notion of sedentary lifestyle in the speeches, which in turn served the device as the negative face. Aiming at the possible speeches, throughout the work elements are presented as clues to the healthy body, such as: the restructuring of a field around this new intervention object; the co-production of physical inactivity, based on the notion of risk, through physical education and biomedicine, which configured the negative face of healthy body discourses; the importance of the objects of the academy for the production of speeches about the body; the mobilization of subjectivities / practices in the manufacture of the body; the possibility of building and communicating the notion of a healthy body in performance and performance. With the findings of the research, I point out that the discourses of healthy body of physical education converge to self-absorbed, self-vigilant subjects, morally responsible for the health of the body and dedicated to performance as a way of reaffirming their own health, which denotes something procedural and unfinished . However, this same subject is endowed with agency and in his actions resignifies what he understands as a healthy body. This hypothesis finds in the course of the analyzes a positive society that impels the subjects to the performance, to the performance and to the pressures of the power to do, to the detriment of the discipline of the duty to do. |
