This research aims to investigate the normative discourses of the scales of the body broadcasted in the media, which are expressed through the concept of a healthy body. Therefore, it is going to indicate the discursive strategies that make the body metrics something consumable, transforming the extension of the body into the measure of all things. An analysis regarding these discourses and its impact on society intend to be a way of problematizing the current mechanism of control on the body, the health and the physical form, contributing to a criticism to the process of knowledge of the relation body-health. Communicational and informational materials regarding the body / health relationship will be collected, selected, discriminated and compared, since the beginning of the 21st century, from the magazine Boa Forma. Boa Forma magazine was adopted as analytical material because it is a communication vehicle focused on the specific group of information and discourses about the body-health-physcial form, and it is therefore important to understand how those dimensions are represented by it, also considering its importance in the subjectivation processes of the subject. The concepts of Biopolitics and Biopower are going to be addressed through the contributions of the author Michel Foucault (1978), the concepts of Bioeconomics, Subjectivity and Active citizenship are going to be developed from the sociologist Nikolas Rose (2013)
