Resumo: This paper reports the process of building a Book-Report-Biography along the lines of literary journalism, resulting from a constant dialogue between the fields of journalistic, historical and literary knowledge that culminated in the trajectory of peasant leader João Alfredo Dias (Nego Fuba) within and outside the Paraíba Peasant Leagues movement, from 1883 (the formation of the village of Sapé), 1932 (its birth), 1964 (the establishment of the military civil coup) to the present day.The biography that dealt with broadly unpublished details of this leader's political trajectory, was anchored in more than fifty interviews carried out over six years of research, in print newspapers of the time, such as “O Norte”, “O Momento” and “Correio da Paraíba”, police inquiries, in the historical recognition process of Fuba, organized by the State Commission of Truth and Memory Preservation of Paraíba (CEVPM-PB), in statements given to researchers in the field of history and human rights, in an autobiographical text written by Nego Fuba himself, in bibliographies and historical documentaries such as "Cabra Marcado Para Morrer", in photos provided by friends and in a vast collection under the domain of family members of the Paraiba peasant leader. The concluding work of the Journalism course of my own, “Nego Fuba: A Missing Leader,” defended in 2016, has also historically subsidized this book. The work "Northeast - Vietnam that was not" (2008), by the politician and former member of the Peasant Leagues, Assis Lemos, was widely consulted and confronted with testimonials from interviewees throughout the research. As objectives, we seek to contextualize the social movement of the Peasant Leagues (motivations, foundation, characters involved, organization, achievements) in the city of Sapé and the state of Paraíba, as a historical / political culture, to assemble a database with published information about the life of the biographer, to observe the unanswered gaps in its history and to rescue the historical path of Nego Fuba in the Peasant Leagues movement, emphasizing his figure as leader and orator of the Sapé peasant movement and articulator in the Leagues expansion process, in other municipalities of the state of Paraíba. Regarding the theoretical basis, this work was embraced by the perspective of New Journalism, considering the various points of view of history, their implications and contexts, scene-by-scene description, dialogues between characters and poetic play. We conclude that The Rescue of João Alfredo Dias: Nego Fuba was able to work the biographical narrative adding journalistic knowledge to the characteristics of literature, enhancing the production of knowledge and resulting in the first proposal of this work: rescue Fuba from oblivion and bring it to the present, in order to have its history known, as it was his desire
