Resumo: | This paper seeks to rescue, through a book-report, the history of political coverage in Bom Dia Paraíba, a newscast aired throughout the state by TV Cabo Branco and TV Paraíba, affiliates of Rede Globo. The program was created in 1987 and since its foundation, it has the political theme as one of its brands. The news program has the participation, in the studio, of journalists specialized political topics, who follow closely important facts of Paraíba's history and local news. The book-report was elaborated from the reports of these professionals who were at the head of the coverage, either as interviewers or as commentators. They are: Nonato Guedes, Otinaldo Lourenço, Chico Maria, Paulo Santos, Giovanni Meireles, Gisa Veiga, Arimatéa Souza and Laerte Cerqueira. The study was also supported by the search for a theoretical framework on in-depth journalism, book-reporting, political journalism and television news. Videos, photographs and files provided by the journalists themselves, located on the internet or provided by TV Cabo Branco were also used as a research source. This material helped to recover the news coverage that marked the history of the news and Paraíba. The final product of this work presents how some of the main news about politics were portrayed in the program over the past 34 years, as well as the facts that marked the background of the activity carried out by journalists during that period. |
