Resumo: Volunteering is essential for the provision and maintenance of social services, and can be impacted by religiosity. In this perspective, there is the thesis that the aspects of religiosity are positively correlated to the engagement in voluntary work. Thus, the objective of this study is to analyze the aspects of religiosity that influence the engagement of volunteers in Youth Ministry. Methodologically, quantitative research was chosen through surveys with three samples (composed of 521, 746 and 525 subjects), descriptive and inferential statistics and the modeling of structural equations. The main results are: 1) the development of a nationally validated and contextualized scale of religiosity in voluntary work, which measures aspects of individual and collective religiosity: religious social networks, spirituality, prayer, belief and religious relevance; 2) confirmation of the overlapping of the averages of the aspects of the volunteers' religiosity over non-volunteers, despite the fact that the “belief” factor has similar averages in both groups; and 3) the identification of the aspects "religious social networks", "spirituality", "prayer" and "religious relevance" as the main explanatory indicators for engaging in voluntary work in Youth Ministry.
