Resumo: | The aim of this work is to present an analysis of the Taijiquan path, a Chinese body art focused on caring for oneself, allowing the practitioner to develop and maintain health through movements in synchrony with breathing, these combined provoke a reaction of the body that tends to strengthen and allows a broader reflection and a holistic view of himself, thus understanding his own universe and understanding his universe he comes to understand the universe around him and recognizing that he composes this universe. Mindful of the divergences and proximities in the understanding of the body coming from the West and East, we seek to understand the process that has been taking place in the West, which increasingly relies on Eastern practices such as Taijiquan and meditation to balance in the midst of the whirlwind of Information, expectations, labels and fears. It was possible to observe the course of these arts from the monastic environment to the battlefield, arriving at the courts and gymnasiums and reaching the offices and treatment centers. |
