Resumo: Popular cultural manifestations are made up of aesthetic elements that, created and preserved by orality, have their own dynamics of maintenance and transformation over time in various traditional communities in the country. In addition to having autonomy in relation to the logic of the market, the result of a western colonialist project underlying the development of the scientific method in the most varied areas of knowledge, they are distinguished from high art in many aspects of which will be addressed here. In view of the particularity of elaboration of thought of the western tradition and of orality, this work sought to think about the Heideggerian understanding of the work of art as the truth of a people, and the knowledge of the coco de roda from Paraíba, which is a popular cultural manifestation. traditional. And with that, the community and collective character of the knowledge of traditional communities was put into discussion, starting from their musical elements, and the study on the work of art made by Martin Heidegger. Faced with these two experiences of knowledge, what is similar and unique about them? What are the points of contact and displacement between these two modes of meaning-making thought and experience? In addition, the experience of being a player and playing were addressed in order to present an understanding of communities about their knowledge, culture and musicalities and senses, and in parallel, the understanding of play and play in the thinking of Martin Heidegger, Johan Huizinga and Gadamer. In the first chapter, the Heideggerian understanding of the end of philosophy as a science and the thought of meaning was presented. The second chapter dealt with the work of art as putting oneself into the work of truth as Heidegger characterized it. And finally, the third chapter thought about the experience of playing, playing and being a joker from the reflection of Heidegger, Huizinga and Gadamer in dialogue with the traditional popular revelry from Paraíba coco de roda.
