Resumo: Introduction: The Unified Health System (SUS) is a public health system that aims to promote, prevent and rehabilitate health, and is therefore extremely relevant for the population at different levels of health care. Primary Care, the first level of care, is responsible for most of the consultations, reducing possible hospitalization needs, and, even at this level, there is the Home Care Service (SAD), which is responsible for organizing the teams: Team Multiprofessional Home Care Team (EMAD) and Multiprofessional Support Team (EMAP), for home care for the population who, for some reason, cannot go to the Care Unit. These teams are made up of several professionals, including the physiotherapist, who works directly on the disorders of some systems of the human body, generally accompanying the users eligible for this service. The Physiotherapist's work takes place together with the other professionals of these teams, including nurses, psychologists, doctors, among others, so it is interesting that everyone works together, discussing the cases, monitoring the services in each area for better patient management especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Objective: To evaluate the perception of EMADs and EMAPs professionals in João Pessoa/PB on the differences in the performance, perspectives, demands and difficulties of Physiotherapists in home care before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: this is a descriptive, observational and quantitative study, which was carried out through a questionnaire applied to professionals: social worker, physiotherapist, speech therapist, nutritionist, dentist, nursing technicians, psychologist, pharmacist, therapist occupational health, doctors and nurses from the EMAD and EMAP teams in João Pessoa. Results: the physiotherapists who participated belonged to the EMADs, most professionals from both teams reported that the pandemic had a negative impact on the consultations, that the professionals work together and that, currently, the consultations are calmer. There was not much difference in the pathologies treated before and after the pandemic and currently, physiotherapy care is mainly focused on the motor part. In addition, the teams see the physiotherapist as an important member and that the difficulties faced by them, perceived by the whole team, were mainly the fear of COVID-19, the lack of equipment and information, as well as the difficulty with the transport to be used in the displacements. Conclusions: the professionals of the teams have a good understanding of physiotherapeutic actions and, as in other services, the SAD in João Pessoa also had its difficulties, but managed to keep the services working together, however, there is still a need for greater interaction among professionals who can contribute to better care and service performance.
