This work is a study on the equivalences between poetry and music from Cecília Meireles poetic work, taking as basis the poems from the book Ou isto ou aquilo, apprehended in its relation with the musicalities of childhood, mainly with sung toys, like object of literary analysis and as a corpus of reading and musical recreation in the following two field experiments: "Poetry and music in the classroom" and "Cecilia Meireles in canto", developed in a public school in Fortaleza, with students from 2nd to 5th grade. In those experiments, we work the reading of poetry, through the point of view of the creative and receptional methods, and also by the prospect of poiesis and ludical experience, allowing children to interact musically with the poems, strengthening the relations between poetry and music, emphasizing the verbal enchantment in Cecilia Meireles poetry, at the same time we contributed to the aesthetic education of those children.
