Adolescentes em medida socioeducativa de internação: O papel da espiritualidade na mudança valorativa

Resumo: The present study had the objective of analyzing the role of spirituality in the value change of adolescents in socioeducative measure of hospitalization. For that, an intervention was made taking into account the search for the meaning of life as described by logotherapy and existential analysis, using the dialogical method. As a tool for the evaluation of the results, a sociodemographic questionnaire and the Basic Values Questionnaire were used. For the development of field research, twenty adolescents were approached, who are fulfilling a socioeducational measure of hospitalization in the city of João Pessoa, of which 30% attended the 6th year of Elementary School, 35% of the 7th year of Elementary School, 25% Year of Elementary School, 10% of the 1st year of High School. Regarding religion, 40% said they did not have a religion, 5% did not respond and 55% claimed to have some religion, 36.4% declared themselves to be Catholics and 63.6% were evangelicals. In the intervention, the participants were divided into an experimental group (GE) and a control group (CG), the adolescents of the GE participated in ten meetings, where they discussed existential themes, both groups performed pre and posttests. For the quantitative analysis, the "t" test was used for repeated measures. In the qualitative evaluation of the process, it was possible to observe a greater selfconsciousness regarding the direction and meaning of life resulting from the reflections provided by the intervention. Regarding the evaluation of the result, it was found that the adolescents who participated in the intervention presented a decrease in the mean scores of the valued performance subfunction.
