“Todo ponto de vista é a vista de um ponto”: análise dialógica dos discursos do pastor progressista Henrique Vieira

This study analyzes the progressive evangelical discourse in the Brazilian media context. For this reason, it aims to investigate the process of the construction of the progressive evangelical pastor Henrique Vieira’s point of view in videocasts – about different social agendas – collected in the media vehicles Instagram and Youtube between the years 2016 and 2020. Its specific objectives are: to propose, based on the theoretical assumptions of Bakhtin and Volóchinov, a notion of point of view that subsidizes the reading of the data in this thesis; to get to know the main theological ideas that underlie progressive evangelical groups; to describe, analyze and interpret the linguistic, enunciative and discursive phenomena that are part of the point of view of the progressive pastor Henrique Vieira in the groups of agendas systematized and named throughout this study. As theoretical-methodological assumptions, it is used the set of studies of the Bakhtin Circle, specifically the notes of Bakhtin and Volóchinov, as well as the discursive studies that are based on this perspective of language investigation. This investigation is in a qualitative-interpretative nature, characterizing itself, in terms of objectives, as a descriptive and explanatory study. The data consisted of 18 videocasts, which were collected in the following social media: Pastor Henrique Vieira's Instagram, Pastor Henrique Vieira's YouTube channel, Youtube channel of the Esperançar collective and Youtube channel of the Mídia Ninja collective. The reading of the data allowed, due to the criterion “related themes”, the systematization of 3 groups of agendas, which we called “Social Justice”, “Religion and Human Rights” and “Politics”. For analysis, it was selected a sample consisting of 2 videocasts that represented each group of guidelines. The results revealed: 1. the presence of polemical bivocality, discursive framing and expressive tone, dialogic-discursive phenomena, in the utterances that constituted each group of guidelines; 2. that Pastor Henrique Vieira's point of view is constituted in the dialogical relationship with the biblical discourse and with the different refractions about it; 3. and that the investigated subject's point of view is based on social justice, economic equality and Human Rights, themes associated with Liberation Theology and Contextual Theologies.
