Resumo: | What can literature teach history? More than that, what does literature have to say about the past and, especially, how can it mean it in such a way as to formulate new meanings about the present? These questions were the starting point for this work whose main objective is to understand the relationship between History and Literature built apart from the discursive strategies that make up the narrative of the novel Estação das Ravas (2012), by the Angolan author José Eduardo Agualusa, as a source for historical knowledge. This work proposes a reflection on the literature produced by Agualusa and its contribution to historiography and history teaching, understanding literature as a source of research capable of expressing the characteristics of a people and its culture. We will try to understand the various collaborations that post-colonial literatures, especially the literatures produced by Agualusa, bring to the knowledge of history and the possible possibilities of working with these literatures in basic education. In our country, literary production every day marks a greater presence in schools, school libraries and directed activities, but the use of literatures, in general, that are being worked in classrooms are still used in a Eurocentric way. |
