Representações sociais da violência elaboradas por crianças e adolescentes vitimados e não vitimados

Resumo: | One of the greatest problems that affect mankind since its very beginning and that is being once more questioned; bringing some concern to our contemporary society in a worldwide, globalized and multicultural context is the violence phenomenon. This thesis approached the victims and not victims of violence at home. It is a quantitative-qualitative exploratory study. The research was realized at specialized centres for social care (CREAS) in greater João Pessoa and in public schools. 239 children and teenagers participated and their ages were between 7 and 18 years old. The instruments that were used were: Free Association of Words Test, Psychological Violence Scale and notified documental data record. Data analysis was realized using some computer programs such as SPSS, ALCESTE and TRIDEUX-MOTS. It was verified that children and teenagers who were and were not victimized on domestic violence, based their representations on negative actions concerning to violence through diversified forms of criminal violence or delinquency and domestic violence manifested physical or sexual forms, these violences have reached children and teenagers. In the sample of non-victimized children and teenagers it was verified a boom of violence bringing causes and consequences and the lethal character while the victimized ones represented violence representing it from a psychosocial conceptions whose concepts and negative valuation, classification of violence and consequences, aspects related to agressors, insecurities, positive thoughts against violence and its banalization. Through the results verified the teenagers representation related to violence were connected and its consequence; and children in relation to violence retreated them in mean and directioned way. However it represented those situations in a materialized form. Through results, it is possible to infer that the representations were different according to age and sex. It was possible to conclude that the discourse, in general, revealed itself in a multifaceted character which is peculiar to the phenomenon itself which is present in general life and peoples routine, no matter what religion, age, social status or ethnic. In the end, no one is immune to this multiform crisis. |
