Resumo: This research aims to understand how the framings act on the fan culture mediated by the relationships of affection. It is based on the hypothesis that the articulated virtual community of fans changes the framing of the media, demonstrating that the process of mediatization is in constant transformation and linked to the movements of society. For this, we seek to fulfill the specific objectives, which are: a) to analyze the framings of TV, through reports from Rede Globo TV channel about the Free Britney fan movement; b) to analyze the framing of Twitter through the Free Britney movement, by means of the tag; c) to verify, through the fans' posts on Twitter, which symbols or language are used to reinforce the affection relations; d) to compare the framings of these media. The methodological procedures used in the work were: bibliographic, documentary and comparative research to substantiate the theoretical basis of the research and data analysis, and the approach was carried out through exploratory, descriptive and qualitative research. Finally, to understand the media framings and affection relations of both TV and Twitter, the procedures of framing analysis and socio-political affection analysis were added to the methodology. Some results showed that the Free Britney fan movement has aroused media attention, since no reports about Britney Spears or the fan movement were found in the years before the release of the first documentary. It is also noted the potentiation of certain affections in the reports to reach the viewer audience. The analyses about the fan movement point out the growing support of the media, celebrities and other Britney Spears fans for the freedom expected by the Free Britney movement, which managed to expand and share information about important aspects for the virtual community of fans through Twitter, with statements from professionals in the area explaining what was happening in the lawsuit and actions of protests in person for the singer's freedom.
