Resumo: | Learning about the immune system adds skills enabling the student to acquire scientific literacy that promotes competence in exercising his citizenship and promoting health. The theme has a high level of abstraction required for demonstration and understanding of immunological processes, structures, and components. This abstraction can often compromise teaching and learning if the teacher does not seek the most efficient didactic ways to develop this theme. Through teaching by analogy with an investigative approach, one can seek to soften abstraction and promote the development of relevant skills that are consistent with the theme. Thus, this research aimed to develop an investigative didactic sequence (SDI) with the theme of the immune system through analogies with the production of a comic book (HQ). The target audience were students from the 3rd grade of high school at the Escola Estadual Professor Paulo Freire, in the city of Baía Formosa-RN. The research was carried out from July to August 2021. The SDI consisted of 11 stages, considering the study on defense cells and their actions against the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) in analogy to the HQ of the League of Justice. The application was remote, through Google Meet, given the suspension of classes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As products of this research, there is the comic, produced by the students, from the script, the creation of characters, structuring and editing, thus having an active role. In addition, a methodological guide was prepared, to record the didactic steps of using the HQ in the proposal presented here. The survey results were collected through questionnaires applied before and after the survey. Based on these results, it is concluded that the research objectives were achieved and that, therefore, the use of analogy, with the production of comics and the students being the protagonists, has a promising teaching-learning process for learning and development. |
