Resumo: Introduction: Syphilis is a sexually transmitted infection, which has one of the highest rates of vertical contamination, affecting maternal and child health. Faced with this, it is relevant and necessary to study, research and discuss this subject in the academic area and in the daily life of the services, increasing its visibility for the development of actions that modify this scenario, such as health education. Health education is paramount to improve this epidemiological profile, and the use of technologies in the current scenario can facilitate the care process. Therefore, it is questioned: can the construction of a scientific educational video be validated as an educational tool in the prevention and treatment of congenital syphilis? General objective: To construct and validate a scientific educational video about congenital syphilis. Methodology: Developmental methodological research, carried out from December 2017 to November 2018. Content analysis and validation took place through the Delphi Technique, with the participation of ten health experts in the first cycle and nine, in the second. For video validation, script items were evaluated using a Likert scale and presented a Content Validity Index greater than or equal to 0.78. Results: Two articles emerged as results of this study, and article 01 aimed to identify in the scientific production what has been produced on Congenital Syphilis. Article 02 aimed to construct and validate an educational technology (video) on the subject of Congenital Syphilis. Final considerations: The educational video on Congenital Syphilis is an educational tool, easy to understand and visualize. It is a strategy of health education, which stimulates the prevention of this pathology and adherence to treatment from the prenatal period, in order to avoid future problems, as well as contribute to its control and future eradication. Generated product: Scientific educational video about Congenital Syphilis, available to health professionals in the service networks, academic environment and system users, which can contribute to maternal and child care.
