Resumo: |
The birth care scenario in Brazil is undergoing changes in search of a less interventionist and more humanized approach. Skin-to-skin contact between mother and baby right after birth is being valued, strengthening the bond between them and encouraging breastfeeding. Assessments and modifications in the quality and humanization of care are still needed, including improvements in the structure of maternity wards and the attitudes of health professionals, with the use of health technologies to help teams adopt good practices and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Objective: To map, through scientific evidence included in the literature, the national panorama of guidelines for the management of immediate and continuous Skin-to-Skin Contact between mother and newborn, in obstetric centers and to develop guidelines for the management of immediate and continuous Skin-to-Skin Contact between mother and newborn to a reference maternity hospital in Serra Catarinense. Methodology: In order to guide the theme, an integrative literature review was carried out with the aim of studying the national panorama of guidelines on Skin-to-Skin Contact between mother and newborn in obstetric centers. To this end, a guiding question for the research was created: What is the national overview of guidelines on immediate and continuous Skin-to-Skin Contact between mother and newborn in obstetric centers. After analyzing the selected articles, care guidelines were developed and sent to the Hospital Institution's Permanent Education Committee and discussed with the unit's team. Reviews and training on the topic will be carried out every 6 months through the Permanent Education Center. Results: The literature review revealed an important gap in guidelines on the management of Skin-to-Skin Contact (SPC) in obstetric centers and maternity hospitals, making it possible to support discussions in order to develop guidelines that contribute to guiding the team and restructuring practices for a safe and quality birth ensuring the rights to good birth practices. In view of this, it is expected to select the most appropriate tools for use by the team and prepare a care guideline for managing PPC in a maternity hospital in Serra Catarinense. Conclusions or Final Considerations: It is necessary for this topic to be prioritized within the line of neonatal care and the importance of developing care guidelines to be reinforced. It is expected that the guidelines will effectively contribute to the care of mothers and their babies, promoting best health practices. Product and its applicability: It is characterized as service guidelines that present the nature of the technical product, according to the CAPES Technical and Technological Production Qualis, item 1: T1=100 points. The proposal of assistance service guidelines will subsidize and contribute to care for women, children and families, with better indicators, producing actions for the quality and humanization of assistance. |
