Resumo: |
This dissertation presents the results of an investigation of the Mestrado Profissional em Ensino de Ciências e Matemática, developed in the research line of Formação de Professores do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ensino de Ciências e Matemática of the Universidade Franciscana, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. This research aims to elaborate and develop a formative action to train teachers of Basic Education, focusing on content related to the themes of Women in Science, Gender Relations, and Notions of Radioactivity based on the life and contributions of Marie Curie. In this sense, it is believed that a teaching activity based on the life and contributions of Marie Curie is a fundamental element, both for the deepening of scientific knowledge in the areas of Science, Chemistry and Physics, and for the appreciation of women in the Sciences, demystifying the myth related to female intellectual inferiority and also serving as a representative stimulus. This study is characterized as qualitative, and for data collection, we used Google Forms, audio recordings, and photographic records of the face-to-face meetings of the formative action, as well as the planning is done by the participating teachers. The analysis followed the principles of descriptive and explanatory research. As a result, it was possible to observe how necessary it is to offer and develop specialized training in the areas of Women in Science, Gender Relations, and Notions of Radioactivity. The participating teachers lacked the knowledge proposed by the Workshop, which contributed significantly not only to the formation of the participating teachers but also to their confidence to work in the classroom on such an abstract theme as Radioactivity. |
