Resumo: Bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) is one of the most prevalent congenital heart diseases, affecting around 0.5% to 2% of the population. When undiagnosed early, this condition can lead to severe complications, such as stenosis and dilation of the ascending aorta. In Brazil, the detection of congenital heart anomalies during prenatal care still faces challenges, mainly due to the lack of accessible educational materials for pregnant women and healthcare professionals. Fetal echocardiography is a crucial tool for the early diagnosis of these anomalies, enabling appropriate and planned follow-up. This study aims to fill an information gap by providing an educational booklet on the importance of fetal echocardiography for the early detection of CHD, aligning with the guidelines of the National Policy for Comprehensive Child Healthcare, the Statute of the Child and Adolescent, and the legal support provided by Law No. 14.598/2023, which ensures the performance of ultrasound exams such as fetal echocardiography during prenatal care within the Unified Health System (SUS). Objectives: To develop and validate an educational booklet aimed at pregnant women and healthcare professionals, promoting awareness about BAV and guiding the importance of fetal echocardiography in prenatal care. Methodology: The methodology included an integrative literature review in databases such as SciELO, PubMed, and BVS, with descriptors related to BAV and prenatal diagnosis. Interviews were conducted with specialists in pediatric cardiology and obstetrics to guide the content and language of the booklet. The booklet was structured and validated with healthcare professionals and pregnant women, receiving feedback on its clarity and usefulness. Results: The results indicated the need for an educational tool addressing the importance of fetal echocardiography in the early diagnosis of BAV. The booklet received significant contributions from specialists and was adjusted for better understanding by the target audience. Conclusions: The creation of the educational booklet contributes to raising awareness about BAV and reinforces the importance of early diagnosis. Making this material available in Primary Health Units may encourage greater engagement of pregnant women in prenatal follow-up, aligning with public health policies. Product and Its Applicability: The guidance booklet on Fetal Echocardiography in Pregnancy aims to raise awareness about the importance of fetal echocardiography in early prenatal care among healthcare professionals and users. The product seeks to contribute to achieving the Health and Well-being pillar of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly regarding the reduction of infant mortality rates from preventable deaths.
