Resumo: | The Youth and Adult Education (EJA) modality faces several difficulties in its process, whether the difficulties presented by the students or the qualification of the professionals, generally insufficient, which contributes to the school failure. In this regard, there is a lack of national programs that seek to serve this differentiated public through the construction of significant knowledge and the formation of critical citizens. Thereby, this research started with the problematic issue: does Chemistry planning for the Youth and Adult Education last phase, valuing the school curriculum with the integration of popular knowledge, contribute to a more contextualized teaching? Thus, the present research consists of producing and evaluating a Chemistry teaching planning for this modality. For this purpose, a brief history of the Youth and Adult Education is presented in Brazil and in Mato Grosso, followed by an overview of how continuing education has been constituted in this modality in the state. Thereafter, a contemporary teaching of Natural Sciences in the Chemistry area was presented, and it was concluded with the importance of teacher planning in the educational process. The semester planning was built and developed within the discipline of Chemistry for the last phase of Young and Adult modality in the State School Antônio José de Lima, located in Juscimeira (MT) municipality. The classes were observed during the first two months of the year 2016 and, together with the teacher of the discipline, the difficulties and a way to improve Chemistry teaching effectiveness and enjoyable learning were discussed. In addition, it was decided to develop an investigation through actionresearch and to produce an educational material that would contribute as a support tool for teachers in the area. As a result, it has been found that young people who seek to accelerate their education, whether to get a better job or to enter higher education, are not aware that this precipitation brings deficiencies to learning in general, what has already been mentioned in other researches. The results reinforce the need for a continuous education project and specific professional qualification for this modality, as well as training for the production of specific didactic materials and continuous development for the discussion of different strategies. The teacher reported that the guide contributed to stimulate creativity in the elaboration of ideas and provided the use of new methodologies. |
