Resumo: | The present master's dissertation is the product of a research conducted in the Graduate Program in Psychology at the Federal University of Mato Grosso. The general objective was: to understand, through the meanings of students, how art, specifically, theater, contributes to human development and which aspects are effectively developed. And specific objectives: to analyze the FETRAN project as a learning and attitude changing tool; identify the behavior of students on the theme of transit before and after participating in the project; identify other potential developed during this participation. For this, a qualitative research was done at the interface of the areas of Developmental Psychology and School Psychology. The theoretical approach of reference is Historical-Cultural Psychology. There is also a bibliographical review on Psychology, Art, Theater and Education. A field research was developed in which the focus group technique was used to produce data for analysis. The research participants were five students who staged together a theatrical show in the FETRAN project in 2018, representing the Dona Rosa Frigger Piovezan, a State School in the Comodoro/MT town. Data analysis was performed considering the Thematic Analysis technique. The results reveal the theatrical practice as a motivating and significant activity, as the participants attribute the meaning to theater as a changing tool, which enables visibility, experiences and discoveries. In this way, the theater is beyond an instrument of appropriation of knowledge, but also of itself, making it possible to place the subject in an active situation in the world of which they belong. |
