Resumo: | The purpose of this dissertation is to show the new musical practices of the Choro. To this end, we consider changes in social, artistic and educational aspects. The text presents an overview of elements, intrinsically to the style and its innovations. On some chapters, Roda de Choro and its novelties are described, also the teaching of the style, the musical structure of a traditional Choro and then what has changed, doing comparisons, what factors that have contributed to these changes, showing theories that can contribute to support these innovations (such as Hybridism, Habitus and cultural capital), the practices of this musical style (performance, interpretation and improvisation) and at the end of the work, we present three musical pieces with our observations about the new face of this Choro style. It was noted that such changes result from resonances of other musical styles and from the musical instruction of new composers and performers. |
