Resumo: | Ultrasound examination is important for the selection of varied diagnoses, and may be valid in the evaluation and localization of malignant and benign tumors. The BI-RADS® method is oriented in the classification and classification of tumors, and favors the conduct and prognosis of the patient. The main objective of this study was to evaluate the concordance between the three observers with the use of the ultrasonographic BI-RADS® classification method in the identification of benign and malignant tumors in 153 breasts from indiscriminate race and age bitches attended at the Veterinary Hospital of the Federal University of Mato Grosso. The histopathological findings were anmo gold standard. The histopathological result was 82.5% of malignancy, and of these, 36.5% were complex carcinomas. VPP and NPV for observers 1 2 and 3, 81% and 69%, 54% and 74%, 65% and 70%, sensitivity and specificity 35% and 95%, 30% and 89%, 31% and 91%. The Kappa Cohen interobserver evaluation was a low agreement (0.26 to 0.32). However, an application of the ultrasonographic BI-RADS method depends on the experience and improvement in the analysis of the images to obtain more accurate diagnoses. Association tests were performed between the ultrasound variables and the gold standard. |
