This thesis aims to understand the specifics of the process of identity constitution of punk in the city of Ilha Solteira - SP, in reference to the identities in the plural refers to the various dimensions, they took the subjects who used the references in punk location, between the years 1994 and 2001. We observed a non-assimilation and / or repetition of the same benchmarks of what in theory was to "be" punk in large cities. Thus, we tried to explore the appropriation of punk references in Single Island, for it came from the practical problems faced by these individuals who appropriated to their way of punk references, that while identity style was used by the city's youth, as form of expression and protest. Michel de Certeau, Roger Chartier, helped to eliminate the belief of the possibility of the existence of a literal assimilation of cultural punks, such as sometimes results from an essentialist approach. Therefore, to bring these notes to think the punk theme, it could be understood more appropriately, for the punk in the last decades has been constantly resignificado in different ways by different individuals in very diverse locations. In this sense, it could be understood more appropriately, how was the process of rewriting this identity punk in the city Island Single-SP, for it relied on sources such as fanzines, oral testimony, and lyrics of the bands city - in addition to the local newspapers.Therefore, to bring these notes to think the punk theme, it could be understood more appropriately, why punk during the last decades has been constantly resignificado in different ways by different individuals in very diverse locations. In this sense, it could be understood more appropriately as it was the process of rewriting this identity punk in the city Ilha Solteira-SP, for it relied on sources such as fanzines, oral testimony, and lyrics of the bands of the city - beyond the local newspapers.
