Resumo: This dissertation proposed to carry out a study on the access and permanence of transvestites, transgender women and men at the Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso (UFMT). Considering that we are part of a patriarchal, sexist, cisheteronormative and racist society, we understand that bodies that dissent from sexual and gender norms are placed on the margins of society, therefore, they fight daily to survive and take place in cis-heterosexual spaces. white Christians, including the university. Given the above, the hypothesis that supported the research is that the Christian white cis-heteropatriarchal systems, linked to elements that support this structure, contribute to keeping transvestites, women and trans men on the margins and, consequently, contribute to preventing these people have access to formal education and remain in the space in question. The objective of the work is to understand the extent to which modern colonial apparatuses have contributed to preventing the entry and permanence of transvestites, women and trans men at the university, from the perspective of these subjects. Having the research locus at UFMT – Cuiabá, at the following level of education: undergraduate. To do this, we will use research related to education, LGBTQI+ education, queer theory, quare theory and sociological studies that dialogue with the theme.
