Resumo: | One of the most debated topics today in the economy is the return that education provides in society. The theories on the subject, say that education as a capital has a high probability that an individual receives higher wages than those who do not invest. That is, a person who invests in education in a given area will have higher incomes than those who have only work experience in that area. Thus, this paper aims to highlight the study level produces higher wages in the state of Mato Grosso workers, ie identify the correction between income and the level of study that shows the employee for this purpose, was considered descriptive studies the Mato Grosso reality with the use of EXCEL Software in 2013 that allowed us to outline a profile of the income of the state of Mato Grosso and then compared with the results achieved through the MINCER model were applied in IBM SPSS Software, considering the data from the Population Census 1980, 1991, 2000 and 2010. With this, it was observed that the conclusions reached by both methods were identical. The conclusion of this study indicates that for the state of Mato Grosso there is a great relationship between these two variables, but being more significant variable for education. |
