This work aims for a new perspective at the tenentista uprising in Mato Grosso, focusing on the military revolts of the 1920s and highlighting the 1924 revolt. Military dissatisfaction has its origins since the Proclamation of the Republic, in 1889. In this ideological line, several social and historical agents participating in the tenentista movement supported the overthrow of the oligarchies. Thus, the 1924 rebellion, in the city of São Paulo, became an historic landmark of the military uprisings in Brazil in this period, concomitantly to the march of Coluna Prestes. The criminal proceedings of the 10th RCI and its defendants, as well as the writ for habeas corpus by the insurgent Emídio da Costa Miranda, are documents that will be deliberated and inserted in an innovative and unprecedented context of the Micro History. Therefore, this work will serve as an important piece for the construction of the memory of the First Republic in the state of Mato Grosso.
