Resumo: | The qualitative-phenomenological study investigated the sense of education for the “coartizent” women of the Communal Popular University (UPC) ant the impact provoked by the educative process on their daily life. In the first chapter I present a history of UPC and the philosophical-methodological presuppositions orienting the proposal for the project under way. In the second chapter I reason about the social history of the women, aiming to understand and locate them within the Brazilian historical, socio-economical, cultural and political context. In the third chapter I comprehensively interpret the empirical data. The hypothesis concerning the sense that education has to women when they go back to studies while being mothers and grandmothers acquires distinct significations, both in relation to their first school experiences and the school experiences of their children. The observations have been made through learning panels, tools, workshops, events and discussions, documents, texts written by the subjects, life stories and semi-structured interviews comparing initial data and data posterior to the period of UPC study. I conclude by realizing another temporality within the UPC. |
