Resumo: This research aims to analyze the influences of the covid-19 pandemic on the lives of women enrolled in the EJA-high school modality in their family, professional and educational relationships. It seeks to understand the meaning of schooling for these women, considering the current context of access and permanence in the Youth and Adult Education (EJA) modality of the High School segment that the users of the program/social policy experience from its evident extinction. It also seeks to: describe the social, economic, and subjective/emotional impacts of the covid-19 pandemic on the lives of EJA students; investigate how these women perceive themselves in their relationships with the family, education and the labor market in the context of the pandemic and identify these women from the dialogue with gender and patriarchy issues. The development of the research took place in 2021 with students from Escola Estadual Prof. Demétrio de Souza located in the city of Várzea Grande/MT and the João Catarino State School, located in the city of Barra dos Bugres/MT, the interviews were carried out between September and December 2021, after approval by the ethics committee. For data collection, techniques such as: bibliographic research and document analysis, closed questionnaire, semi-structured interviews and field observations were used. This is quali-quantitave research that has as its theoretical-methodological foundation the convergence of two theoretical references, the Sociology of Education through studies that approach the trajectories and strategies of schooling, in particular, of the lower classes and gender studies. and feminists. The research aims to contribute to the production of knowledge about the reality of this remarkable part of Brazilian society, women who decided to return to school after years away from this institution for various reasons.
