The aim of this master thesis is writing a biographeme based on Roland Barthes’ (2003) conception about a black man from Pará, who was raised by his grandmother in a church environment, and throughout puberty and curiosities which emerged from it, he discovered his attraction to men. From one relationship to another, an expulsion from the seminary and the feeling of having his life project ruined, he ends up discovering he is seropositive for HIV through a daily STD test. Thus, inspired by Morte e Vida PositHIVa (2018) a Ben Volpe's biography, Will to Live (2007), in which João Biehl writes about the life of people who have lived with HIV at the Caasah Institute, also his book Vita (2005), which tells Catarina’s life story, who is at an asylum in Porto Alegre, and Didier Fassi’s When bodies remember (2007), in which he presents seropositive people’s experience (including the spiritual ones) and its politics about it, this thesis is developed beginning at Sabiá’s childhood and youth, until his present days. Therefore, the intention is contributing to another perspective about seropositive people, without stigma, prejudice and representing a reality which couldn’t be pictured 42 years ago: living well and healthy with HIV, with life expectancy and will to live everything one wants and it’s possible to do so. All of this through in-depth interviews, participant observation and graphic elements which portrays photos of the interlocutor's life and fables which emerge throughout his story.
