Flooding, flooding and flooding events, among other impacts, are natural phenomena that occur frequently in watercourses, usually triggered by heavy and rapid rains or long-term rains. It is observed that the significant increase in the episodes of flooding in the municipal headquarters and surroundings is linked to the increase in rainfall levels in the hydrographic basin of the Aquidauana River. The geomorphological characteristics and hydrology of the region, favor the occurrence of gradual floods that take place in the referred spaces, since the lands that border this river were gradually being occupied, increasing the occurrence of a natural disaster. Therefore, the present work has as main objective to produce cartographic pieces that helped in the elaboration of the Contingency Plan of risk to the flood of the municipality of Aquidauana. In this way, it is understood that the study will collaborate with the wishes of the local community, serving as a contribution to the understanding of the dynamics of the waters in the region and helping social actors to understand the threat and danger to which this space is exposed. He believes that the research may contribute to the decision making of the municipal manager and civil defense. |
