Resumo: | It is intended to investigate the profile of morbidity and mortality from violent events of women aged 10 to 49 years old, in the period from 2015 to 2019 in Brazil, to qualify the events from the context in which they took place. Sistema de Informação sobre Mortalidade (SIM) and Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação (Sinan) are used. It is addressed (1) the variables’ filling quality and (2) the description of the event and victim profile. Descriptive statistics were applied, such as frequency distribution and boxplot, usage of matrices and multiple correspondence analysis. (1) In the first analysis, on both databases, Race/color and Place of occurrence present better completeness, while Education and Gestational State have the worst percentages, with the percentage level of missing answers being higher when it comes to Sinan compared to SIM in all situations. (2) In the second analysis, for lethal events, it was noted: an association between Gun shooting, public space and younger ages categories; and an association between white women, domicile as place of occurrence, women in the end of their reproductive cycle and use of physical force or sharp objects. The information regarding interpersonal violence complies with: an association between the category of psychological violence and the probable perpetrator as the victim's partner or ex-partner; an association between the categories of possible author being female or both the sexes, acquainted or unacquainted, public spaces and schools; and an association between the victim's family member as the probable perpetrator, age between 10 and 19 years and evidence of sexual violence. It is understood that the information that best qualify the event holds great value for the monitoring of the violence endured by women in the country, which can contribute to the evaluation of measures and prevention policies of such violence. |
