Resumo: | This dissertation aims to elaborate a catalog of songs for voice and piano by the composer Frederico Richter (1932), as well as to approach his stylistic and idiomatic characteristics, his compositional phases, and his trajectory as a composer. Richter is originally from Novo Hamburgo in Rio Grande do Sul, and has a vast compositional production in which voice and piano songs play a central role. Altogether, 563 songs for voice and piano were found amidst registries and scores. After the text containing updates on his biographical data and his trajectory, this work also includes an analysis of the cycle Três Canções Sobre Uma Série, written in dodecaphonic language and considered by the author a work of great importance in his portfolio. The analysis of the songs has the goal of presenting their main musical and poetic characteristics and their interrelations in the construction of the interpretation of the work. These analyses were made with the intent of forming a spectrum of information that will serve as a guide and inspiration for the performer in the search for technical and interpretative solutions. For the elaboration of the catalog, we based ourselves on the Guide to the Brazilian Song of the Research Group Rescue of the Brazilian Song and also on a bibliography in the area of librarianship and archivology, in order to organize the titles in a systematic and objective way. The catalog presents a catalographic card for each of the briefly analyzed songs, organized in chronological order containing information such as poem author, year, dedication, vocal range, edition, and manuscript, among others.
