Resumo: The aim of this research was to discuss the results of a specific method in the teaching and learning of the Architecture and Urbanism project. This method tested the hypothesis that Architecture and Fiction enable a totalizing view and representation, which give the student freedom to creatively achieve concreteness in his/her early stages of project. In addition, it was able to study how this specific way of thinking is capable for expressing itself whiting concrete actions. Doing this, seems to pull the students beyond the initial simple sketches in preliminary architectural studies, with the hope of finding points that they would not glimpse. These points are the dreams that mix with human actions in space, and the dimensions that these totalities allow us to understand without using words. The approach of this research was qualitative, adding an exploratory view and case studies as its methodology. The study was carried out in the one period of two classroom at the UFMG School and demonstrated that some characteristics allow corroborating the hypotheses, refuting others. Much has been collected as material outside the scope of the research, but this material suggests important investigations for future work research.
