Resumo: This dissertation is the result of narrative research with an autobiographical approach that aimed to analyze the elements that had an impact on the subjectivation processes of young queers during their school careers. These young people were part of a group that aimed to provide conversation circles about gender and sexuality in a school where they all studied in elementary school. The six young people who took part in this group reconstructed and gave meaning to the experiences that each of them had had in this school and in the other schools they had been to up until the moment they took part in the research, when they were finishing secondary school. Operating with concepts taken from queer studies and the philosophies of difference of Judith Butler and Michel Foucault, the general argument of this dissertation is that these young people were constituted in schools in a rural context which, on the one hand, reproduced gender norms, constituting an abject subjectivity, and, on the other hand, found in cyberspace and in the gaps in the school system, spaces for negotiating their existences, constituting a subjectivity focused on practices of freedom which created new ways of being in the school environment.
