Resumo: | This dissertation aims german philosopher Friedrich Nietzsches dialogue with the XIX centurys historical thought. Addressing works like The Birth of Tragedy, On Advantage And Disadvantage Of History For Life, Human, All Too Human, Thus Spoke Zarathustra e On the Genealogy of Morals, the work in question interprets the really complex way in which Nietzsche analyzed e developed the cultural and philosophical implications of the emergence of historical thought in the XIX century as a highly prestigious form of rationality and knowledge. The main argument of this dissertation is that beginning his philosophy as a great critic of modern mans devotion related to historical view, Nietzsche ended up radically converting himself to the very same, finally to conclude that, if he didnt desire to be nothing else than a commitment to old court of facts and metaphysical values, illusions and millennial cultural misconceptions, Philosophy couldnt quit being itself a form of historical knowledge in respect to man and culture.
