Análise do absenteísmo-doença dos trabalhadores rurais de uma empresa florestal em Minas Gerais

Resumo: The aim of this study was to evaluate the factors associated with absenteeismdisease of the rural workers of a forestry company in Minas Gerais - Brazil. This is a cross-sectional, analytical study performed on 883 workers of a forestry company in Minas Gerais. It was conducted a survey of all medical certificates issued in the company in the year 2009. It was used for data analysis descriptive statistics, logistic regression with bivariate and multivariate analysis and odds ratios with significancelevel of p<0.05. The results indicated a prevalence of 54.0% of statements in the population, with the loss of 7,655 days. The most prevalent injuries were related to the musculoskeletal system (23.5%), followed by respiratory system (14.0%) and injuries, poisoning and other consequences of external causes (9.0%). Multivariate analysis revealed that the variables function, sector and labor time in the companywere associated with the occurrence of absenteeism-disease. The findings provide important evidence about the relationship between demographic and occupational factors and absenteeism-disease of forest workers. It is concluded that the rural work in the forests is relevance enough that further studies should be performed, considering the complexity of the issue related to health and work.
