Resumo: Aiming to study the Prosthetic Rehabilitation of the Public Health Network, we sought data on the implementation and maintenance of these services in the state of Minas Gerais, and on the profile of municipalities that accredited laboratories Regional Dental Prosthetics (RLDP) and not accredited. For the study, was taken as reference three groups of municipalities: Group I represented by the municipalities not accredited RLDP (68% of municipalities in the state), group II cities that lost accreditation (6%) and Group III represented by municipalities having RLDP accredited (26%). They were randomly selected 317 municipalities and ensured the participation of all groups in the sample. Information on the Prosthetic Rehabilitation services were obtained, together with local health managers, by completing a questionnaire available virtually. To check the profile of municipalities, secondary data were collected (Coverage of Oral Health Team, populations, Municipal Human Development Index, Allocation Factor) and data on health manager (training and time municipal secretary Management Health ), and performed bivariate analysis using the chi square test taking as dependent variables (presence or absence of RLDP accredited in the city) and independent variables (secondary data of municipalities and health manager). The results of this study indicate that most municipalities in Group III offer the Prosthetic Rehabilitation services in Basic Health Units (67%), that 77% of RLDP accredited by the municipalities of group III are outsourced, there is need for action aimed at training technician of Prosthodontics, qualification of Dental Surgeons, improvement in the communication process between public entities, implementation of a training routine on the management of managerial technical information as well as the creation of government strategies for improved financial support for this kind of service. Regarding the analysis of the profile of the cities, there was the association between the variables RLDP the presence accredited in the city and most populous (p <0.001). This finding points higher prevalence of RLDP accredited in municipalities with larger populations, and demonstrates the need for effective action regionalized for accreditation of RLDP in municipalities with lower population contingent. It is concluded that there are challenges to be overcome for the actions of Prosthetic Rehabilitation proposed by the National Oral Health Policy are effective and carried out by all municipalities.
