Resumo: | The main objective of this research is assessing the formation and methodological aspects of the work of German photographers Bernd and Hilla Becher. Some of the themes about documental, architectural and industrial photography of the XIX and XX centuries are taken in to consideration, relating them to the process of artistic production of the Bechers. Afterwards, the typological documentation method will beanalyzed and how their work influenced other generation of photographers, such as Thomas Struth, Thomas Ruff, Andreas Gursky and Candida Höfer. Finally, it will be shown a series of images of the author of the present paper, produced during the period of the masters program, which exemplify how the work of these photographers have changed the authors way of thinking photography as art. |
