Resumo: Introduction: Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) are units of professional practice considered essential for a given profession. An EPA mobilizes several competences from different domains simultaneously, therefore it provides a more complete assessment of the learner in the health service scenario. Objective: To elaborate a curriculum proposal based on EPAs for medical residency in anesthesiology in Brazil. Methods: The elaboration and validation of the EPAs were carried out with the participation of specialists, using the Delphi consensus method, consisting of two rounds and ten participants. Results: 14 EPAs were selected in the first round, with their respective confidence levels. The descriptive categories of the 14 EPAs evaluated in the second round had an agreement rate equal to or greater than 80%, with the expected consensus being obtained. Most of the EPAs selected for the Brazilian curriculum address activities that are essential for the training of every anesthesiologist and, therefore, should compose a basic curriculum of EPAs that intends to certify the training of anesthesiology resident physicians in any residency service on the national scene. Conclusion: The work achieved the proposed objective by elaborating and validating a curriculum proposal based on EPAs for medical residency in anesthesiology in Brazil, compatible with the guidelines of the Brazilian Society of Anesthesiology and the National Commission of Medical Residency.
