Evaluated the major diastolics indexs, including the mitral propagation velocity (Vp) witch is independent of preload and heart rate in 36 healthy Boxer dogs, 18 males and 18 females, age between 1,5 to 6 years and mean weight of 27,18 ± 4,28 kg. The root aortic and left atrium relation, measured in B mode, was 1,17 ± 0,11. The peak of filling wave atrium velocity was: systolic 31,41 ± 6,87 cm/s, diastolic (D) 73,85 ± 17,04 cm/s and atrial reversal 28,90 ± 8,33 cm/s. The relation waves velocity of ventricular filling initial (E) and atrial (A) was to 1,58 ± 0,19 to mitral valve and 1,62 ± 0,29 to tricuspid valve. Among evaluated index, the Vp was only correlated weakness (r = 0,39) with E and A waves of mitral valve and with D, demonstration, relativity, independence index. The Vp was not significantly difference between sexes neither between observers. The Vp decreased when the age increased and exhibit mean values, in thisstudy, of 99,73 ± 16,06 cm/s.
