Resumo: | This research seeks to investigate, from an organizational and socio-spatial perspective, limits and possibilities of collective construction processes around the disputes of Feira Coberta do Padre Eustáquio (FECOPE). Contaminated by other ways of narrating, this work focuses on narratives from actors who negotiate and experience the territory, for the construction of their own narrative about the urban that surrounds and constitutes them. From a street market, to a covered market with a cultural center, and nowaday part of the concession and requalification project of municipal markets from Belo Horizonte, FECOPE acts as an instrument of thought to discuss democratization of urban management and popular struggles related to the market and beyond. Thus, especially based on concepts and categories by Marcelo Lopes de Souza and Rodrigo Nunes, this paper analyzes the social moving in the territory, its practices and organizations, both through the institutional opening of social participation, and through actions that go beyond it. It points out that FECOPE, stage and object of conflicts, represents an meeting of people who mobilize not only to access, but also to modify the established participatory channels. These are neither subversive nor subordinate actors, but performances that disturb the defined instances and provoke resonances – and as such, emit punctual waves that constructively interfere with the space. |
