Resumo: The inclusion of resistance training as part of the Cardiac Rehabilitation (CR) protocols has helped to improve the muscular resistance, cardiovascular, metabolic and inflammatory function of its practitioners. Accordingly, home-based exercise is increasingly becoming a viable option to meet the demands of the current social context determined by the Covid-19 pandemic, enabling the maintenance of CR and consequently its benefits. The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of virtual Dynamic Resistance Training (DRT) on functional, autonomic and hemodynamic parameters of post-myocardial revascularization surgery (CABG) patients. After losses and exclusions, the present study sample consisted of 7 patients of both sexes who underwent CABG, with a mean age of 61.2 years. Functional parameters, through tests of standing up from a sitting position, dynamic balance through the time up and go test and elbow flexion, in addition to autonomic and hemodynamic parameters, through heart rate variability, blood pressure measurements and stationary gait, were evaluated before and after 8 weeks. Two researchers with experience in the field of rehabilitation conducted the exercise protocol via WhatsApp® video calls. After one week of face-to-face familiarization and one week of virtual familiarization, the virtual TRED was performed with elastic bands, three times a week for 8 weeks, with the execution of multi joint and single-joint exercises, in full range of motion and concentric contractions performed as quickly as possible. as fast as possible, while eccentrics were performed slowly in 3 seconds, and intensity controlled by the rate of perceived exertion. After 8 weeks of intervention, it was possible to observe a significant improvement in the functional capacity of the lower limbs (P=0.01), in the muscle strength of the upper limbs (P=0.05), on the dynamic balance (P=0.03) and in the aerobic capacity (P=0.02) of the participants. Additionally, a significant reduction in systolic blood pressure was demonstrated (P=0.03). It is concluded that the practice of virtual TRED promoted improvements in the functional and hemodynamic parameters of the investigated sample.
