Resumo: |
This study intends to verify if the edaphic factors contribute with the structural arrangement of the woody vegetation of the Curupu’s Island (Northern Coast of Maranhão) and if there are a similarity between restingas of the Amazonian Coast and Northern coast, for this study was used the method of the quadrants points with 50 points distributed in five transections parallel to each other and perpendicular to the sea line. In the quadrants, soil samples were collected to determine the chemical and physical variables. A matrix was made with the soil variables to correlate with the species, using the CCA (Canonical Correspondence Analysis); for the similarity was performed cluster analysis (Jaccard index). As a result, we identified 32 species and 17 families. Astrocaryum vulgare, Protium heptaphylum, Anacardium occidentale, Coccoloba latifolia and Tilesia baccata presented higher VI, the research presented H' indices of 2.9nat.ind-¹ and J' of 0.8. In the correlation analysis, it was verified that only Chioccoca alba and Mouriri guianensis presented a positive correlation with Mg, M.O., SB and V. The Curupu’s restinga resembles in floristic composition to the restingas of Alcântara / MA, justified by the geographic proximity. Also was observed the similarity with Ceará due to the abiotic factors and the possible interference of the local residents. Finally, and because this is the first phytosociological study of the woody component, the database is still limited for further inferences, requiring more researches for the restingas of the Maranhão coast. |
