Resumo: |
This Master Thesis consists in a terminological research grounded in the conception that variation is a natural phenomenon inherent to any linguistic system, consequently, it is evidenced as in common or general contexts of use as in the specialized areas in the use of these systems. So, it is emphasized that the specialized discourses are equally susceptible to the variation, depending on the influence of various factors. It is also defended that the Brazilian Sign Language – Libras – is a natural language, since communication within specialized discourse is a form of natural interaction, the terminological variation in Libras is also a real phenomenon. This way, this study presented as main aim the production of a semi-bilingual specialized glossary of eletricity, constituted of terms in Portuguese language and equivalent signals-terms in Libras and, more specifically, investigating the main factors that generates the terminological variation of eletricity. Therefore, this study was based, theoretically and methodologically on the studies developed mainly by Cabré (1995), Krieger (2001), Krieger & Finatto (2020), Gaudin (2005), Faulstich (2006), Hartmann & James (1998), Duran & Xatara (2005), Barros (2004), Diego (1995), Costa (2012), Prometi et al. (2015), among others. In general, it is important to highlight that, to the production of the glossary, the terms and definitions in Portuguese were collected in public access terminographical materials in the eletricity field and the equivalent signals-terms were collected according to six deaf students, signers in Libras, from IFMA/Monte Castelo, through individuals interviews executed by Google Meet platform, guided by slides with images and terms written in Portuguese. The results of the research confirmed the terminological and socioterminological assumptions that the terminologies are, indeed, integral part, of the natural system and, consequently, the terminological variation is a real phenomenon and occurs in function of intra and extralinguistics that focus as in the denomination as in the concept. Besides that, the data showed a distinction between the education level and the specilaty degree, emphasizing that these factors are not mandatorily related and Libras presents some particularities as the variation factors, like the situation of the contact between Portuguese and Libras, that was presented as a factor of big influence under the signals-terms of eletricity. The results of this research showed that the specialized lexicon of eletricity is huge and quite diverse, ratifying that the terminologies, in a real context of use, keep a natural and inherent dynamism. By the exposed, this study aims to contribute to the enlargement of terminological, socioterminological and terminographic resesearches in Libras and in Portuguese, to the inclusion and interaction of deaf people users of Libras in specialized context of eletricity, to the defense of the importance of the bilingual education (Libras/Portuguese) and inclusive of deaf people and, also, to the valorization of the work of translators and interpreters of Libras in this scope. Besides that, the results of this research encourage, in a contrastive perspective, the existence of terminological varieties of eletricity in Libras and in other cities in the Brazilian State of Maranhão and in other Brazilian States. |
