Abstract This work aims to show the techniques used in the divisibility criteria, treated in basic education, especially in the sixth year of elementary school, such as the criteria for two, for three, for four, for five, for six, for seven, for eight, for nine, by ten and by eleven, the latter being added here in this work, as a source of curiosity. Such techniques were demonstrated using definitions, theorems and corollaries extracted from the arithmetic framework and treated with great rigor; To this end, topics such as the fundamental theorem of arithmetic, congruence, greatest common divisor and least common multiple, Euclidean division, principle of good ordering and induction were used.
