The demand for the university by young people who finish high school has increased with an intensity never seen before. In Brazil, this is a new and differentiated reality. The demands of the labor market and subsistence require individuals to set future goals and choices to help them achieve them. Public policies are formulated so that the Brazilian youth has a real option for higher education. However, one can still see an educational system that remains a segregator, since these opportunities are not available to all young people. Considering that the adolescent is in a process of conquest of autonomy and for him the future is posed as an interrogation, for whom the process of becoming adult has become increasingly complex in the contemporaneity, society established as one of the rites of passage into adult life the completion of high school and entry into higher education. The present work had as general objective to analyze the processes of subjectivity construction among high school adolescents of the University College of the Federal University of Maranhao with respect to the perspective of future in higher education. Specifically, to problematize the Public Educational Policies that regulate the transition from high school to higher education; to identify the meanings of schooling among high school adolescent students; and to investigate future prospects among students in terms of entering higher education. The research was guided by the qualitative approach and the focal group technique was used. The conception of research in the Construccionismo has as central focus of analysis the discursive practices. COLUN / UFMA high school students were selected to participate in the study. The analysis of the data was due to the type of this research, which was focused on the theoretical production, in the light of Foucault, of Constructionism and Social Psychology theorists on subjectivity, adolescence, school and schooling and future projects in contemporary society. |
